Done, Done & Done!!

Label made, check.  Binding on, check.  Washed, check.  Finally I am done with this quilt and it will soon be out of my house and on it's way to Project Linus.

The quilting shows up better after washing and I love the wrinkly look of washed quilts.  Many don't, but to me it adds to the quilt appeal and comfort.  Here's pictures of before washed and after washed, plus a closeup of the after washed quilting.

I decided to try my hand at taking pictures outside.  I draped the quilt over the fence and shot towards the back yard.  Worked pretty well, I think.

Nothing But Indentions!

Took down the Start Right Frame yesterday.

How sad this little room feels right now!

Nothing but indentions in the carpet.  But it won't be sad for long.  I hope to be setting up the new Bernina quilt frame in a couple weeks!

Hurry up and get out here, Window Installer People!!!!

Bernina Frame!

What's this I see in the garage???  Boxes?  BERNINA boxes??!!!  Whup! Whup!!

3 Big Boxes!

What could be in them?  Hmmmmm?????

This is a long and very, very heavy box....Part of the Bernina Quilt frame.

Here's another box with more frame parts.

And this one has the carriage that Bailey15 will happily claim as it's new home!

Sadly, assembly of the frame is on hold until we get the windows replaced in the house.  This should happen, hopefully, in the next couple weeks.  Fingers crossed!

Ruler Work

Quilting with a ruler on the frame is not as easy as one would think.  I have a whole new respect for professional quilters!  Finally got the quilting done on the Just Us Quilters Mystery quilt from earlier this year.  I learned a lot.  One thing I learned is I need so much more practice on this.  Another is not to choose to do so darn much!  But it's quilted and I hope someone will find comfort under it.  This will be another donation quilt.

Closer Look At The Quilting

The Back.
I still need to bind it, but that will be after I do a little frog stitching.  I started out doing more quilting, but changed my mind after the first row.  Ugh...removing stitches....such fun...NOT!!

Globetrotter August Block

Paris, France is where we went for this block.  Mine is a bit different from the original.  I turned the dark gray background triangles to the outside rather than towards the center.  Did I do this intentionally??  Well,  puhlease!!!  I'll never tell! LOL

Globetrotter - August 2014 that I've posted the picture, I see a piece turned wrong.  It will stay as it is.
